FOOTBALL: SBVC Quarterback Armando Herrera on IEMG-TV

San Bernardino Valley College quarterback Armando Herrera (REV) is having a record-breaking season for the Wolverines.

Herrera spoke with IEMG-TV following Valley’s 72-0 drubbing of LA Southwest. Herrera set a new school record with 7 touchdown passes and 31 first downs in the game. He currently ranks 4th all-time in passing yards at SBVC.

FOOTBALL: MSJC rallies past SBVC 36-30

The San Bernardino Valley College football team saw its postseason bowl games hopes dashed with a 36-30 loss to Mount San Jacinto College.

The Wolverines surrendered a touchdown with :29 left in the game, as they fell to 5-5 overall in Daniel Algattas’ first season as the SBVC head coach.

FOOTBALL: Armando Herrera Named Starting QB at SBVC

Former REV quarterback Armando Herrera has been named the starter at San Bernardino Valley College.

A familiar name will lead the San Bernardino Valley College football team into their season opener against Mount San Antonio College on September 2nd. New head coach Daniel Algattas has named former Redlands East Valley star Armando Herrera the starting quarterback for the Wolverines.

Herrera was a four-year starter at REV, a CIF-SS and state champion, plus passed for more than 10,000 yards and 100 touchdowns in his high school career.

Coach Algattas will join us on The Inland_Sports Show on Fox Sports IE 1350AM this Saturday at 11am to talk about Herrera as well as the state-of-the-art football stadium at SBVC.

IE All-Stars set for Inland_Sports Show

The #1 overall pick in the Inland Empire All-Star Classic Scott Walther (Heritage offensive lineman) will join us LIVE on the Inland_Sports Show this Saturday on Fox Sports 1350AM and the Inland_Sports YouTube Channel.

Walther was selected by Jim Walker (Redlands) with the first pick for the Cardinal Empire team which will wear USC colors for the IE All-Star Classic. Walther paved the way for the Heritage offense, leading the Patriots to an undefeated regular season and another Sunbelt League championship.

Quarterback Armando Herrera (REV) was the top pick for Derrick Johnson (Notre Dame) and the Blue Empire team. Herrera capped off his high school career with more than 10,000 yards passing and 100 touchdowns in four years with the Wildcats. Herrera will also join us LIVE on The Inland_Sports Show.

The 32nd Inland Empire All-Star Classic head coaches Jim Walker (Redlands) and Derrick Johnson (Notre Dame) drafted the first 22 players on each of their teams during a LIVE broadcast on the Inland_Sports Show YouTube Channel on Wednesday from the Tartan Restaurant in Redlands.
