ATHLETICS: Phillips, Graves win 2017 Ken Hubbs Awards

Congratulations to Jalean Phillips (Redlands East Valley/UCLA) and Claire Graves (Citrus Valley/Boise State) on winning the 2017 Ken Hubbs Award at Colton High School on Monday night.

BASEBALL: Citrus Valley blanks Cajon 2-0, REV over Redlands 5-3

Check out highlights of first place Citrus Valley’s 2-0 win vs. Cajon at the County Clash; plus signing day for the Blackhawks  Kyle Underwood, Austin Warner, and distance runner Claire Graves.

Redlands East Valley defeated rival Redlands 5-3.

Signing day at Citrus Valley High School featured distance runner Claire Graves going to Boise State, while baseball standouts Kyle Underwood signed with Willamette (Oregon) and Austin Warner with Centenary (Louisiana).

KEN HUBBS: Washington, Mattison Named Top Athletes

Cajon girls basketball star Kayla Washington and San Bernardino football, wrestling, and track standout Alex Mattison are the 2016 Ken Hubbs overall award winners.

The 52nd annual Ken Hubbs award represents the top high school athletes in San Bernardino County

Washington will play her college basketball at Washington State University while Mattison will play football at Boise State University.

FOOTBALL: Inland Empire All-Star Football Classic

The Riverside County All-Stars edged the San Bernardino County All-Stars 34-31 at the 31st Inland Empire All-Star Classic at Ramona High School. Quarterback Brett Virgil (Heritage) hit Jacob Ricard (Santiago) with :22 left in the game for the victory. Kicker Fidel Romo (Banning) was named the MVP of  IE the All-Star Classic.
