California Baptist was able to take the first set 25-19 against the WAC tournament champion from a year ago, New Mexico State, but the Aggies stormed back to win the next three to capture the match 3-1.

VOLLEYBALL: CBU knocks off defending WAC champ Bakersfield 3-2

California Baptist picked up a signature victory against the defending WAC champion Cal State Bakersfield 3-2 on Saturday afternoon.

CBU used 22 kills from Tesa Oaks to knock off the first place team in the WAC; The Runners were previously undefeated in conference play.

The #5 Cal Baptist volleyball team improved to 14-0 overall, 6-0 in the PacWest Conference with a 3-0 victory vs. the Academy of Art. Look for our exclusive interview with twins McKenna and Madison Witt on The Inland_Sports Show prior to the Lancers showdown with Azusa Pacific University on October 14. Madison and McKenna transferred to CBU following an All-American beach volleyball career at the University of Arizona.
