FOOTBALL: “Great 8 & 4 More” Rankings after Week 6

The most intriguing league to keep an eye on is likely the Big VIII. Think about it … Santiago, Roosevelt, and Norco will be battling for playoff positioning the next couple of weeks; assuming Centennial wins the league crown.

Murrieta Valley topped Vista Murrieta for the second straight season so the Nighthawks move up to #3. Remember when they lost to Santiago in their season opener? Was it an off-night for Murrieta Valley, or maybe the Sharks are “that good.”

We’ve got Cajon @ Yucaipa in a couple weeks in Citrus Belt League play.

We’re also anxious to see Murrieta Mesa go through Southwestern League play. The Rams opened league with a blowout win against Temecula Valley, but the games will only get harder going forward.

FOOTBALL: The “Great 8 & 4 More” Rankings after Week 3

Well, the Inland_Sports super computer did it again and squirted out our weekly rankings. After a series of mathematical equations and formulas, we are pleased to welcome Aquinas into the Great 8. The Falcons are 4-0 heading into Friday’s contest with Rancho Christian as RB Branden Rankins is closing-in on the San Bernardino County rushing record. There’s a good chance Rankins will make a run at the record when the Falcons meet Notre Dame in Week 6!!!!!!

Murrieta Mesa also joined the party in our 4 More after the Rams picked up a convincing win vs. San Jacinto. Murrieta Mesa will play Valley View this week, which will be a measuring stick for this Rams’ team.

The Inland_Sports super computer is really confused on what to do with Vista Murrieta (0-4). They’re really good and played great teams, but they don’t have any wins … which nearly blew-up the computer! Norco is in the same boat!

FOOTBALL: Great 8 & 4 More Rankings after Week 1

It’s starting to get juicy around here with some great match-ups looming in the next couple of weeks in non-league … we’re looking at you #5 Murrieta Valley vs. #4 Cajon 🙂

Centennial is still #1 despite a 40-20 setback to IMG Academy at the Honor Bowl.

Vista Murrieta (0-2) slides to #8 after going winless in their first two games, but seriously, they played two really good teams in Colquitt County (Georgia) and Mission Viejo.

In our 4 more, Redlands East Valley is coming off a great 59-55 win at Etiwanda, Santiago dropped a tough one at home to Citrus Hill, and we’ve got both Notre Dame and Aquinas rounding-out the rankings!

The Inland_Sports super computer never lies.

FOOTBALL: Pre-Season “Great 8 & 4 More” Rankings

Using a very complicated, scientific, and mathematical formula; the Inland_Sports Show Super Computer was able to squirt out (as Geoff Gorham put it) these preseason “Great 8 & 4 More” power rankings based on a points system.

Centennial checks in at the top spot with 48 points; followed by Murrieta Valley, Heritage, Vista Murrieta and Roosevelt rounding out the top five spots. There were several ties including a log jam for the 8th spot in the Great 8.

Be sure to follow @Inland_Sports on Twitter and inland_sports_show on instagram for any updates to the Great 8 & 4 More Power Rankings. The Inland_Sports Show Super Computer will be squirting out a new power ranking after Week 0.
