The Citrus Valley Blackhawks defeated Yucaipa 3-0 to force a 3-way tie for first place in the Citrus Belt League along with the T’birds and Redlands East Valley. CV defeated Yucaipa and REV in the final week of CBL play.

FOOTBALL: Kurt Bruich leads Citrus Valley into opener @ Valley View

Kurt Bruich will make his debut as the Citrus Valley head football coach when the Blackhawks travel to Valley View in Week 1 next Friday.

VOLLEYBALL: Yucaipa tops Citrus Valley 3-0 in CBL Showdown

The Yucaipa volleyball team defeated Citrus Valley 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 26-24) in a battle for first place in the Citrus Belt League. The Thunderbirds grabbed sole possession of the CBL-lead as they move to 6-0 in league action.

FOOTBALL: Citrus Valley Shock N’ Awe Workout

The Citrus Valley football team held its annual Shock N’ Awe Workout with the United States Marines. Head Coach Pete Smolin will join us on The Inland_Sports Show Fox Sports IE 1350AM on Saturday at 11am to talk about the workout. The players are physically and mentally pushed to the limit by the Marines, as it sets the tone for the rest of the Blackhawks season.

Signing day at Citrus Valley High School featured distance runner Claire Graves going to Boise State, while baseball standouts Kyle Underwood signed with Willamette (Oregon) and Austin Warner with Centenary (Louisiana).
