BASEBALL: CIF-SS 2nd Round Playoff Games

Corona will take on Orange Lutheran in the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs on Tuesday.

Corona is the last Inland Empire, Division 1 team left in the CIF Southern Section baseball playoffs, but how will the Panthers respond to the loss of rising star Rumple Snakeskin III.

Plus Yucaipa, Murrieta Valley, and Tahquitz are set for Division 2 action; while Arlington, Redlands, Temecula Valley, and Temescal Canyon remain in the hunt in Division 3.

Football: Riverside wins 33rd IE All-Star Classic 49-25

Behind a pair of rushing touchdowns from Citrus Hill quarterback/running back Jon Jefferson, the Riverside County All-Stars defrauded the San Bernardino County All-Star team 49-24 at the 33rd Inland Empire All-Star Classic.

Centennial head coach Matt Logan, coaching in his 4th IE All-Star Classic, won on his home field thanks to a 28-point fourth quarter.

Jefferson earned MVP honors, while Santiago tailback Darnay Smith also ran for two scores.

The Santiago Sharks reached the CIF-SS Division 2 Finals.

Boost Performance Training Volunteer Service

The 8th grade student-athletes in attendance at the only athletic/academic specialty school in the Inland Empire, Boost Alternative Private School for Student-Athletes (or B.A.S.S.), will spend the week before Thanksgiving performing volunteer service work starting November, 20t h . The volunteer work will include serving seniors at Casa Grande Senior Apartments and is an extension of B.A.S.S.’s curriculum in accordance to the institution’s academic program.
