DODGERS: Gonzalez and Ethier Rehabbing with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes

Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez is expected to re-join the big league club in Detroit this week following a rehab assignment with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes.

Despite owning the best record in Major League Baseball, more help is on the way for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Star players Adrian Gonzalez and Andre Ether have been rehabbing with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes (Dodgers California League affiliate), with Gonzalez expected the join the Dodgers as early as Thursday on the team’s road trip in Detroit.

Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw is also working his way back from a back injury and could likely see a rehab start with the Quakes in the near future.

MLB: Dodgers & Angels Spring Training Trip

Gun shooting range, Top Golf, and a house with a walk-in pool and home theater … and we also mixed in some Spring Training baseball!

I had the chance to tag along with KCAL Rocks 96.7 fm (You can hear my Inland_Sports update on KCAL every Monday and Wednesday at 8:30 am) on our annual pilgrimage to Arizona to check out the Dodgers and Angels in action.

We saw the Dodgers taking on the Halos at Camelback Ranch where we ran into Vic The Brick from Fox Sports 570. He gave the Inland_Sports Show on Fox Sports 1350 some good advice; and talked Dodgers!

The game got even better after sharing some “time and space” with Vic The Brick … Jimbo from the “Stu, Tiffany, and Jimbo” morning show on KCAL asked me to do some play-by-play with Riverside Poly’s Austin Barnes at the plate for the Dodgers, and here’s what happened:

And to top off the day, we got to hang out with Chicago Cubs pitcher Aaron Brooks (Cajon HS) and his fiancee Whitney at his new home in Arizona. Brooks just purchased his first home and it’s still “decorating”, but does have his Kansas City Royals jersey hanging up from when he made his first Major League debut. Brooks is now hoping to crack the Cubs starting rotation after he was traded from the Oakland A’s just prior to the start of spring training.
