Tommy Leach and the Roosevelt captured the championship at the Golden Bear Classic passing tournament at Temecula Valley High School.

The Mustangs are gearing up for their season opener vs. Rancho Cucamonga.

FOOTBALL: Golden Bear Classic Passing Tournament Schedule

Temecula Valley will host its first annual Golden Bear Classic 7-on-7 passing tournament on Saturday July 14.

Among the Inland area teams competing are King, Carter, Tahquitz, Roosevelt, Bloomington, Rancho Christian, Santiago, San Jacinto, Orange Vista, Hemet, Indian Springs, Yucaipa, CSDR, Hillcrest, REV, Banning, and Ramona.

Baseball & Softball All-CIF Selections

The CIF Southern Section released its All-CIF baseball and softball teams on Monday.

Yucaipa pitcher Tyson Heaton was named the CIF-SS Division 2 player of the year, with coach Ralph Grajeda taking home the coach of the year honors.

In softball, Norco slugger Kinzie Hansen earned the Division 1 player of the year award as Rick Robinson was tabbed as the coach of the year!
