Murrieta Mesa head baseball coach Bryn Wade (right) along with catcher Andy Thomas (left) and Zac Filos (center) joined Pep Fernandez on the Inland_Sports Show to celebrate the Rams CIF-SS Division I title.

If you the ask the Murrieta Mesa baseball team, they weren’t surprised after winning the CIF Southern Section Division I championship. The Rams outlasted Harvard-Westlake 3-2 in 10 innings to claim the school’s first CIF-SS title.

Murrieta Mesa finishes in last place in an ultra competitive Southwestern League last year, but second-year head coach Bryn Wade and his squad turned things around in a big way this season to not only win league but ultimately the CIF crown.

Catcher Andy Thomas and pitcher/infielder Zac Filos will cap off their high school careers by playing in the Inland Empire Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Game on Tuesday June 14 at San Manuel Stadium in San Bernardino; the same location where the Rams won the CIF-SS title.
