REV Football Coach Kurt Bruich on The Inland_Sports Show (8-5-17)

We’re ramping up for the high school football season in the CIF Southern Section. Redlands East Valley head coach Kurt Bruich joins us in the Inland_Sports Show Studio as we continue our 2017 Preview Tour!
Plus, we talk 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles and LA Chargers with Tyree Washington from La Sierra High School and San Bernardino Valley College.

FOOTBALL: REV seeking 9th consecutive CBL crown this season

REV Head Coach Kurt Bruich will join the Inland_Sports Show this Saturday at 11am on Fox Sports IE 1350AM.

The Redlands East Valley Wildcats will be on the hunt for their 9th straight Citrus Belt League title season. REV has won or shared eight CBL titles in a row, including a perfect 7-0 record last season.

REV will open the season with Etiwanda, Heritage, and Upland before entering CBL play.

Look for head coach Kurt Bruich on the Inland_Sports Show Fox Sports IE 1350AM on Saturday at 11am. We’ll also have video and interviews of REV and Cajon on the next episode of Sports Weekly on IEMG-TV. The Wildcats and Cowboys will once again be battling for the league championship.

BASEBALL: 2017 MLB Draft for Inland Area Players

Ryan Lillie (Vista Murrieta HS/UC Riverside) is the first Inland player off the board after being selected by the Miami Marlins in the fifth round. Lillie joined us on The Inland_Sports Show this past Saturday.

The Major League Baseball Draft included players with Inland Area ties. Inland_Sports will keep a running tab on players from the IE that are selected in the MLB Draft:

3B – Zach Kirtley (Redlands East Valley/St. Mary’s) 5th Round to the St. Louis Cardinals

King infielder/pitcher Nate Webb is the first high school player in the Inland_Sports coverage area to be selected in the 2017 MLB Draft. The Oakland A’s took Webb in the 26th Round.

 

The Arizona Diamondbacks took Riverside Poly pitcher Cole Percival in the 31st Round. Percival is also signed to play for his father, Troy, at UC Riverside.

BASEBALL: REV takes down Santiago 7-4 in CIF-SS Division 1 Playoffs
