FOOTBALL: SBVC downs Desert 56-25, wins American Mountain League

The San Bernardino Valley College football team captured the American Mountain League title with a 56-25 win against the College of the Desert.

The Wolverines finished 5-0 in league, 9-1 overall.

SBVC set a new school record for points scored in a single season and quarterback Armando Herrera broke the single season record for passing yards in the victory against COD.

Valley is expected to play in a postseason bowl game at Allan Hancock (Righetti HS) for the American Conference title next Saturday in Santa Maria.

WOMEN’S SOCCER: SBVC blanks Citrus 2-0 for 10th straight win

San Bernardino Valley College blanked the Citrus College Owls 2-0 on Saturday night in a matchup featuring two of the top teams in Southern California.

SBVC is on a 10-match win streak, having out-scored their opponents 49-1 during that stretch.

FOOTBALL: SBVC Quarterback Armando Herrera on IEMG-TV

San Bernardino Valley College quarterback Armando Herrera (REV) is having a record-breaking season for the Wolverines.

Herrera spoke with IEMG-TV following Valley’s 72-0 drubbing of LA Southwest. Herrera set a new school record with 7 touchdown passes and 31 first downs in the game. He currently ranks 4th all-time in passing yards at SBVC.
