BASEBALL: Ayala wins the Gorrell Classic 7-3 vs. Santiago

Ayala won the 3rd annual Austin Gorrell Memorial Classic title with a 7-3 victory against Santiago at Cal Baptist University. The Bulldogs used a five-run, 6th inning to capture the championship.

VOLLEYBALL: Santiago falls in CIF-SS Finals, but headed to State Playoffs

Santiago came up just short in the CIF-SS D2 Finals, 3-1 vs. Orange Lutheran at Cerritos College.

The Santiago Sharks volleyball squad fell in the CIF Southern Section Division 2 Finals vs. Orange Lutheran, but now the team will turn its attention to the state playoffs.

Santiago will host La Jolla Country Day on Wednesday in the CIF Division 1 state playoffs.

VOLLEYBALL: Santiago reaches CIF-SS D2 Championship Match

The Santiago Sharks swept Esperanza 3-0 to reach the CIF Southern Section Division 2 Finals. Santiago will meet Orange Lutheran for the championship on Saturday at 2pm at Cerritos College.

SOFTBALL: Santiago surges past King 11-1

The Santiago Sharks powered past King 11-1 in Big VIII League play. Starting pitcher Shelby Macias whirled a complete game from the circle, surrendering just a single run to the Wolves.

Brittany Allen swatted two home runs in the game; including back-to-back jacks with Sierra Frazier in the fifth inning.

Mackenzie Meech provided King’s lone run on a solo homer.

BASEBALL: Santiago edges Norco 3-1 in Big VIII action

The Santiago Sharks baseball team picked up a 3-1 victory against the Norco Cougars in Big VIII League play.
