SOCCER: Cal Baptist men blank CSU San Bernardino 4-0

The Cal Baptist men’s soccer team opened the season with a 4-0 victory against CSU San Bernardino. Aidan Apodaca opened the score sheet with a pair of goals in the first half.

Sebastian Wiesboeck made it 3-0 at the half thanks to this goal off the free-kick.

Casey Powers also scored in the victory.

The CBU women’s soccer team fell to CSUSB by a final of 2-1. We’ll have highlights of the match, plus a postgame interview with Coyotes head coach LeBaron Hollimon on the next episode of Sports Weekly on IEMG-TV.

SOCCER: Coras tops SoCal SC 2-0 in a Match with Seven Red Cards

NPSL Inland Empire rivals Southern California Sports Club of San Bernardino and Riverside Coras USA square-off in the IE Derby at UC Riverside.

Coras came away with a 2-0 victory as the game finished 8-versus-7 after a number of red cards.

BOYS SOCCER: REV wins the CIF-SS Division 3 Championship

Redlands East Valley wins the CIF Southern Section Division 3 championship vs. Cathedral. After finishing level 1-1 through regulation and overtime, the Wildcats won 5-4 in a shootout. Jarod Nelson scored REV’s lone goal in regulation as well as the fifth and final goal in the shootout to seal the victory.
