SOFTBALL: Murrieta Mesa tops Vista Murrieta 3-0 in Southwestern League action

The Murrieta Mesa Rams moved to 4-0 in league play after a 3-0 win against Vista Murrieta. Mesa will meet Great Oak next week with first place on the line in the Southwestern League.

SOFTBALL: ALL-CIF Softball Teams

The Southern Section All-CIF softball teams were unveiled on Monday and headlining the list is Grand Terrace pitcher Melanie Olmos who captured the Division 3 Player of the Year honors. The CIF-SS named Titans head coach Bobby Flores the Division 3 Coach of the Year.

CIF-SS PLAYOFFS: Baseball & Softball Quarterfinals

The CIF Southern Section baseball and softball playoffs roll into the quarterfinals and there’s several things that we’re keeping an eye on here at Inland_Sports.

On the baseball side, We have a potential Redlands East Valley vs. Yucaipa matchup brewing in the semifinals; if they both advance.

In softball … Great Oak, Norco, and Vista Murrieta are holding it down in Division I. Check out Division II where we find a CIF-SS championship rematch in the quarterfinals as Yucaipa hosts Mission Viejo. The Thunderbirds captured the title last season with a 1-0 victory:

INLAND SPORTS SHOW: Santiago Baseball, Grand Terrace Softball coming in studio

The Grand Terrace softball team is fresh off its 15-0 Sunkist League title and set to make another run at the CIF Southern Section championship. The Titans reached the CIF-SS Division III Finals last season, falling to La Serna 5-4 in the title tilt.

The Santiago baseball team will celebrate its Big VIII League championship in studio with Pep Fernandez. The Sharks won a highly competitive Big VIII crown and will try to carry that over into postseason play.

SOFTBALL: Redlands Tournament Highlights

The Redlands softball tournament is underway with the championship game slated for Saturday March 19 at 3 pm at Redlands High School. Check out some early highlights as Citrus Valley blanked Colton 8-0 on Tuesday and Redlands topped Lakeside 4-1 on Wednesday.
